Financial Coaching for Small Businesses

How We Can Help

According to Forbes, “one out of every three employees admits to being less productive at work because of their financial stress” (The Business Impact Of Financial Insecurity, July 10, 2019).

In many cases, financial stress can be reduced by educating your employees on personal finance management strategies. Understanding the importance of budgeting and saving can improve not only their financial well-being, but their physical and mental well-being as well, leading to less stressed and more productive employees.

At Aspire Financial Coaching, we offer workshops and one-on-one coaching sessions that can help your employees become better with money and more financially empowered . Contact us if you are interested in hearing more about our small business services.

Workshops

We provide workshops that cover topics that directly impact your employees. We can also develop workshops based on the topics and needs of your employees.

  • Financial Empowerment

This workshop provides an overview of how to become more financially empowered by budgeting, saving, managing credit and credit scores, and understanding basic investment concepts.

  • Spending Awareness and Creating Financial Goals
Financial Empowerment begins with knowing your net worth and being aware of how you are spending your money.  This workshop provides guidance on both of these skills.   A net worth statement will help you understand your current financial position, and will also help you organize your finances.  A cash flow statement looks at your past spending and is the first step in spending awareness.  Finally, we also cover the best way to budget and discuss the pros and cons to online budgeting tools.

  • Credit Reports and Credit Scores
Everyone should know their credit score and should regularly check their credit reports.  This workshop focuses on what information is available in your credit report and why requesting copies of your credit report on a regular basis is important.  We also cover the different types of credit scores, what factors impact your credit score, and strategies for maintaining or improving your credit score.

  • Investments and Retirement

Everyone should have a basic understanding of investing – i.e. what investments are available and which investments make sense depending on your risk tolerance and when you may need access to your cash.  This workshop covers basic categories of investments, including bank accounts and CDs, stocks and bonds, mutual funds, bond funds and ETFs and retirement accounts.  We also discuss the concept of lifetime income and compound interest.  Finally, we cover the basics of retirement accounts (i.e. 401ks and IRAs) and social security.

One-On-One Coaching

What better way to help relieve financial stress than to have a counselor available to answer basic financial questions. Offering financial counseling to your employees is the best way to get them to focus on improving their financial well-being.

Depending on how many employees sign up, we can schedule one-on-one private sessions in your place of business or over the phone. We can help with questions related to budgeting, credit scores, paying down debt, retirement accounts, and much more.

How does one-on-one coaching work?

We can come to your place of business for 1 - 3 hours and make ourselves available to speak to employees one-on-one about any financial questions they may have. We do not give investment advice, nor do we sell any financial products. Our only purpose is to educate and help your employees think through financial questions and problems they may be facing.
